Get fight-ready with a real plan

Step-by-step guides for visa, flights, gear, camps, budget, and fight night: everything before you land.

Before you book flights

What people ask before they book.

I've never trained in Thailand. Is a camp still realistic?
Yes. Most gyms welcome complete beginners and holiday trainers, and you do not need fight experience to start. Match your stay length with our Thailand visa guide, pack basics from the gear checklist, and read first-time Thailand tips before you land. Give yourself a buffer day after arrival before you go hard in sessions.
What should I sort out first: visa, flights, or gym?
Lock camp dates and stay length first, since that drives your visa choice. Then book flights with a buffer day before training, find housing near the gym, and confirm your camp rate. That order saves you from expensive rebooks.
Do I have to fight, or can I just train?
Training only is completely normal. Plenty of people come for fitness, technique, and the atmosphere, with no ring required. If you do want a debut, follow our first fight camp plan and plan extra weeks for pad work and controlled sparring before you commit to a card.
What do gym schedules and drop-in prices usually look like?
Most camps run a similar rhythm: two morning group classes around 7:30 or 8:00, two afternoon sessions around 16:00 or 16:30, each 1.5 to 2 hours. Drop-in group rates are often 300 to 600 baht. Private sessions are commonly 700 to 1,000 baht, and more with a head coach or star kru. Use our camp budget calculator and gym picks to compare before you commit.
